Lol. Last time I helped my dad clean his chimney out the brush got stuck in there. To this day it still hasn't fallen down...

Oh... I'm SO about this. I've been putting buying a kit off for a while now. I wonder if the produce barn carries this, I bet they do. Do you have a round chimney or a square one? Name the weekend day and I'll be there.

mine is square and I think 12 inches but all we need to do is buy the brushes (yours and mine) and some rope

tie it off on both ends and one guy pulls down and then the other guy pulls up

Rope eh? My dad has some fiberglass rod. Although this is the same thing that snapped and left the brush in the chimney....

Yup.. rope wont snap off (and it's a lot less expensive than the rods) and if one end comes untied you can still remove the brush

ok Erick - just let me know when you're ready to do yours as i did mine this past Sunday

easy as pie (well except for yank'n the insert and then putting it all back together)

but I did buy an 8 inch brush and rather than buy the stupid rods for $30.00 used a 10 foot piece of EMT (plastic electrical pipe) with a few couplings & rope . total cost was only 1.27

you could eat off my flue pipe
