So, Erick is not the only one who has purchased some "fast" recently. Vintage people need fast too.

Rick has a job change coming up in two weeks. An unexpected opportunity came his way, and for many reasons, he felt he couldn't pass it up. Same title, different locale, but no demo. So we need a car. We could buy a beater, and he could drive the Honda on nice days, but we really don't want to rack up the mileage on the Honda.

We could buy an "econo box" but the car guy in him just wasn't happy with that idea. He works hard, he'll have a bit of a commute, he should enjoy the drive.

The dealership he will be at also sells Subarus. So, hopefully, a lightening red Impreza WRX will be parked in our driveway soon. All wheel drive, 224 HP and a turbo, along with five doors. We're looking at the hatchback model. Took one for a test drive today. Nice and peppy.

Not the most practical purchase, but at our age, you gotta get what you can out of life. The insurance company will love us, they would love us even more if we bought the STI. That was not happening.

Either way, it's plenty. I may just trade in my Jeep and buy one for myself.

Truthfully, I too like two door vehicles, but this one does not come with less than four doors. The four doors makes it easier if the grandkids are with us, and the hatchback will give us more options. I also liked the lines on it better than the four door sedan.
