Default Hey Lainey

Turbo engines - possible engine wear problem

Might be something to check out with your dealer.

Interesting! I'll have Rick check on it!

Thanks!

this is a good sign though.....

No U.S. models have been reported to have the problem, but Subaru wants to ensure it's not selling its customers faulty vehicles

Impreza sales are on a tear right now. Gas prices are really driving demand, I've read a ton of positive reviews on other forums from members who wouldn't even look at a Subaru (or any other import for that matter) much less buy one of them.

I don't really see this as being a huge deal though. It apparently only affects 2 months worth of production and none of them reside in the U.S. (yet). The original WRX 2.0 and 2.2 liter motors are pretty darn reliable, so I don't forsee a real drastic drop with the 2.5's.

Just figured if lainey were going in for a service like an oil change, she may want to mention it to the service advisor.

And I was so worried about winding it out over 4 grand before it was broken in???

I printed up the info for Rick. I'm sure he'll find out what he needs to know. He's got "connections."
