Hide your GPS!
Interesting, but not surprising article about portable GPS theft.

The best point made in the article is to remove your mount if it is obviously visible when you are away from the car. Even if you take the unit with you, some crack head will break in to try and find it if he sees the mount. Some crack heads confuse portable XM/Sirius mounts for GPS mounts, so keep that in mind if you have one. The junkies also know what an Ipod cable looks like too so keep those hidden as well.

I didn't read the article, but this point is true about any valuables left in plain sight in your car. Take a minute to hide things or take them with you. It is an easy way to avoid a loss and break-in.
Damn thugs... always stealing something. If it is not pull-out radio, its rear spoiler. Then its the HID headlight and B16/18 engines. Now the "in" thing is GPS.
I leave my radar detector in plain view. I am afraid one day that's going to bite me...

Hide that thing mang!
I heard allot about that. If your GPS device has a locking feature, make sure to use it as well. Then the perp would have a device that is not usable.
And if you set up favorites, like 'Home" remember they will know where that is if your device is not locked.
Nothing is safe these days.

I hope not, but I am sure they would cut your top to get to it. Then, you would have to eat the deductible
