I'm thinking this might be a good option:

at Griots garage

Ron already told me its got to be simple...so...where are our horns in our engine compartments? Guess I gotta go look tomorrow.
I have these Hella Supertones from Griot's Garage. They are a huge improvement over the wimpy 3A single horn that came on my '00. The Supertones are built like an armored vehicle.

I'm not sure how the horns on later models sound; I know that most later models have 2 horns rather than 1 like the '00.

Wendy those are the ones I have. Sweet little setup that puts music into my ears. I blast the horn every time I get. Its a rather easy modification especially if you have a CAI.

I'll post some pics or try to find my thread.

Wiring from radio shack, 18 awg, female connectors, zip ties and flex tubing

Bracket from home depot so I can affix the horn to the stabilizer. Its a bracket used for affixing electrical conduit piping to walls.

Connecting the wiring to the existing horn connector

Connecting the ground wire to the firewall where the horn used to be.

Using plastic flex tubing to keep all the wiring clean

Finished product

I also upgraded the fuse to 20amp as well because sometimes I would blow out the fuse when depressing the brakes and hitting the horn.

Thanks George, this looks like Ron can handle it, afterall he's an electrical engineer ... I just need to sweet talk him into doing it....that's the hard part!

hey george,
did you use a relay off of the battery or stock power wiring?

Stock power wiring, no relay. See the third picture with the red wire going into the stock connector.
