Default How does everyone feel about 93-98 Supras?

So ive come to the crossroads where i can turbo my s2000 as some of you have heard already, or i can unload it and pickup a twin turbo supra. Anyone ever drive one of these beasts before?

i just recently became infatuated with these cars for some reason

im not sure if id be happier with a supra, or a turbo s2k.

Supras are one of the few cars in the past 20 years that will go down in history as legendary.

Well maintained, unmolested models with the 6-speed are ultra-rare so be prepared to pay big $$$ for it. I've researched them myself and they command equal, if not more than the low 40's MSRP they commanded back when they were released. 60 grand would not be surprising.

Good luck!

Used Supras F/S in the entire Country.

This one is in Westboro MA....I drove by it a few weekends ago....looked very clean and un modded. This dealer had a R33 Skyline too..

Still for 25k....you could buy an 2003 s2000, with lower miles, buy a hardtop, and do a full turbo, suspension, brakes etc and still keep it under 25k....

Get the VIN from Matt on that Supra first to make sure it is or was a Original TT car

Supra doesn't make a lot of sense unless you like it for its nostalgic value. If you just like raw turbo prower in a rwd car with good handling, a BMW 335i makes more sense. There will be a a lot of them coming off 3-yr lease within the couple months.

I am more of a FD RX-7 fan even tho its engine blows up all the time

Got a local supra owner here, he wont give it up for any $ amount the car. Personally I have no opinion on them. I did like them when they came out but damm that was so long ago.

My biggest question to you is do you want a turbo vert or a hardtop car?

id be looking at the turbo targa versions of the car, so its almost the same. i do want it because of its legendary nostalgia etc, and raw power, basically its whole package entrigues me.

I hear Supra and all I can picture is FF. They are cool but in my opinion can become major money pits and not to mention being on the wish list of every car thief out there.

i live in a very good area, not worried about theives. plus it will be garaged.

i am a little dissapointed at its "boy racer" reputation, even though its a very expensive car.
