Default How's your memory?

What kind of stuff sticks in your head? My employer has called me a human rolodex in the past as I could rattle off phone numbers of vendors, or other numbers of "vital" importance in the day to day working world. I remember the phone number we had when I was a kid, I used to recognize a family member's car by a license plate, not so much these days...My memory for some things is good, for others, not so much.

My parts guy has an excellent memory. He saw a Rambler on the way home tonight a 65 Classic. Tonight he asked me to enter a number into Google and add Rambler part #.
Sure enough it came back. The part number he rattled off was the tail light lens. For the young guns, a 1965 Rambler was a car from days gone by....Needless to say he hasn't sold too many Rambler parts lately, though he has sold a few LeBaron parts....

So he's good with remembering numbers, but he married me on 8/4/84, so that it would be easy to remember. What's up with that?

My memory is crap.

I recall only outdated or needless trivia.

I remember my childhood phone number. I have a hard time remembering my cell #.

I was a good student when it came to facts, theories etc... Now my knowledge is good for is family fights over who is on my team in Trivial Pursuit.

I forget why I enter rooms and need to leave to remember.

I misplace my wallet, sunglasses, hats, etc constantly.

Me too. Mine's not so much outdated as it is completely random.

I actually tell people it would be completely useless as well if I didn't go to weekly trivia night at the bar.

Lainey,

Are you kidding me??? Wait a minute who are you??? Honestly the only thing that sticks in my head is binary code and network topologies. Exciting stuff huh?

Oh I also remember how to save someone's life when I'm at the fire department, but other then that I have the worst case of "CRS"!
