Derrick: Are you attempting to offend EVERYONE here?! I first thought of the idea of using the lighthouse as a background, Glenn faded the pics we had and made a bit of a collage out of them, then Ben made a more stylised version of the lighthouse...so by dis'ing those pics, you're dis'ing the large group of us that had a hand in creating it

Miranda: Let your dad have a crack at it...we can always use our veto powers on the design At the very least, it may get us thinking in different directions, at best we get a sweet design out of it.

If anyone comes up with a good design, I'll sit down and scan it into the latest and greatest graphics program, touch it up, and send it off to Mir's pappy...

Just to be clear, we have 2 designs at hand here.
One is the logo, which needs to be kept simple for ease of application purposes (stationary, t-shirt, decal etc.). Francis allude to this earlier...

Second is the S2KI banner that goes under the avatar. The logo and banner do not necessarily have to be different, if someone can come up w/ a design that serves both well.

Glenn came up w/ the architectural-style logo design, but it is not set by any means. If someone can offer add'l choices to choose from, we would be more than grateful and no doubt put them into consideration.

I am mainly (and still) working on the banner and welcome any constructive comments and criticisms. If any of you like to offer your help to come up with your own design so that we have more choices to choose from, we more than welcome those as well.

If your entire contribution consists of no more than thoughtless comment can be summed up in one vague word such as "boring", then save it! If someone takes his time out of his busy schedule to come up w/ a design, the least you can do is be respectful and spend some time to organize your criticism in a constructive manner, even if you think the design is shitty. Just telling people how good you are and not helping is not helpful.

Oh well, ok then, I will shut up...!!
since my thoughtless comment can't help you to think of something that makes the logo or whatever you make to be more "active".. too bad... (I thought that will give you an general idea that a logo could be more fun....better line...) actually I was gonna tell you what I think about it and how to imporove the logo IMO, but since you guys are thinking in this way... then sure, I'd shut up... and BTW, I can't go online recently, I think @home at RI is hacked, so the internet is gone for 3 days already... hate the life without it..
