It looks like Galveston and Houston are about to get whacked big time.
One of the Texas officials on the tube tonight indicated they may lose 125,000 low lying homes in the storm.

There have also been reports that the major oil processing areas near
Galveston and Houston will be damaged and they are saying gas prices
could double or triple

It was Fox News Channel saying that so take that for what it's worth.

The refineries shut down as a precautionary measure.
I was a little disappointed in the Texas senator who carried on about how bad it would be for the country when the refineries shut down.

also heard that 5 million people could be without power and they are somehow
already estimating damage at 89 BILLION.
