just finished making home made Pesto with a motar and pestle

AWESOME

here's the recipe i used

Add a half dozen small basil leaves with stems and spines removed to the mortar with 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt. Mash with the pestle in a steady rhythm and continue to add more leaves (you

it's AWESOME with or without makers mark... i washed it down with mountain dew (you could make this is a food processor too)

na - it makes a paste out of the basil & garlic & pine nuts and then you add the cheese and oil


think of it as tossing everything into a zip loc and smashing it with a hammer about a 100 times

Do you just have all those ingredients lying around or are you always at the super market?

We solved dinner issue quite easily tonight. We went out.

had everything but the mortar and basil however Basil will be in the garden this year
