He purchased a JDM Key from me last month and I keep forgetting to mail it.

I got one of them too....but no one can program it
mine is polished silver with s2000 engraved on it....tried dealership..couldn't do it....or rather didn't want to.

 

Tom you need to cut your key opem and put the chip in the new key

don't worry i gave glenn a couple of key fobs to keep him happy while he waits for the jdm key

The JDM Keys doesn't have a transponder chip built into the keys like the USDM Keys do. Rick Hesel wrote a DIY on how to cut open your spare valet key, remove the chip, cut open your JDM Key and insert the chip inside of that.

So I'm not surprised your dealership couldn't program the key

 

Ted sorry I havnt followed up about the insurance . I got rid of the civic and I am just getting caught up on bills and waiting for some jobs to clear out and get paid on . I will be calling you to switch as soon as I can .
