So steve, why are you OK with paying higher federal taxes and having them dole the money down to localities in the form of aid but 100% against paying a slightly higher local tax in the first place?

It makes no sense and will actually probably cost you more in the end.

 

i am a democrat at heart - as they tend to "help" the people much more then the republicans as they only tend to help HUGE business with tax breaks and such and contrary to poplar belief there is NO trickle down effect -

i also truly believe bush and team pretty much ruined our country in the last 7 years and has done NOTHING but breed more hate for the US

 

OK, so when are the democrats going to "help" the guy who works to pay his bills and feed his family by giving us a break?

A ton of people are tired of "helping" those that refuse to help themselves. If I want to be altruistic, I can pour my own money into donations and stuff, I don't need to be forced by some guy in a suit somewhere who claims to be "helping". That brand of helping seems more like socialism to me.

Having been all over the world (all of it durring the Clinton admin.) I can tell you that the hate for the US is nothing that started in the last 7 years
