Yup.
Lifting the motor is the way to go.
I have about 5000 miles on the car since I did the pulley upgrade.
I went with the M7 16% unit.
My buddy Andy Smith was one of the first MCS's in the country with a pulley upgrade. They pulled his car apart to get to the pulley.

My car has the miltek exhaust, M7 Springs, MSport sway bar in the rear..if you do anything DO THAT!, whalen shift knob, Recaro seat and some other bits and bobs.
You going to run it this winter?

How's the ride with the M7 springs? Looks sweet, gives it a nice stance.
Yes, I'll be driving it year round. Just bought a set of mini steels with winter tires. From what I've read, it's suppose to be excellent in the snow.

The car rides BETTER with the M7's.... They are progressive springs so the ride is a little cushier...IMHO.
I installed those too. I have access to a lift and a heated shop...so if you want help installing anything just let me know.

I have to do camber plates and control arms this spring.
Im still looking for cheap snows...and waiting for the snow.

Congrats on the Mini, Dave. I have heard nothing but great things about how it drives.

Out of curiosity, is the Mini considered a German car (distributed by BMW) or British car?

Thanx, I've got a few friends that have had them and they have nothing but good things to say about them.

Mini is mostly BMW. It's not red though........
