I am planning on going, weather permitting.

 

You can't really play it by the weather since you have to register with Raul and book the hotel a month or two in advance

 

Raul hooked me up last year and let me pay late, of course that meant I
didn't win the award for coming the furthest. Matt beat me by a few miles.

 

Taking advantage of his kindness is kind of rude.

Oh and it rained last year so you must suck at playing it by the weather :-p

It was a last minute decision last year, I asked him if I could sign up
late and told him that if he couldn't then that was ok and he said it
was ok. I didn't get any of the stuff that came with the registration
other than the dinner and the opportunity to participate.

I paid for my own shirt and gave him every opportunity to say no and
he didn't, so I don't consider that being rude.

As far as weather goes, I meant with respect to the snow being gone and
there being a minimum of salt and sand on the roads. I expected to hit
some rain on such a long trip.
