Ellen, life just sucks some times. It will get better if you can just hang in there.
Want to hear about my new neighbor?
In the house below me, lives Irving, a miserable man of about 85 years old. His wife works and I've never seen her. On Monday, Irving knew I was home, weeding, so he started talking really loud so I'd hear him, I'm sure. He told God that although he had a great view, he wished God would take him the "f_ _ k away". He told God to give him money so he could at least go for a walk. He has a bad leg but he does get around. He was yelling, "Woo hoo!" and saying that if anyone could hear him they'd think he was a crazy old man. Yep, I sure did.
So, two days later, I was out front and Irving was sitting in his garage. I went over to meet him. I had to stand about 4 feet away since he stunk. He had about a week's worth of beard with food stuck in the whiskers around his mouth. He moaned and groaned how unhappy he is. I told him about my dad, who died a few months ago, and didn't have a clue what was going on, due to Alzheimer's. Poor Irving is just sitting there mad at the world but he at least still knows what the world is. If he would take a shower and shave, he could go out.
Ellen, I don't know what ^this has to do with you.
Nothing. I understand your depression since I've been there myself in the last year. About a year ago I started anti-depressants but after about 6 months, I felt good enough to quit them. Now, my life is much better and I'm happy again.
Hang in there, sweetie. S2ki helped me get through my rough patch, just like we are helping you.
