I'm not digg'n the stacked exhaust pipes in the back of the IS-F.....
A closeup pick shows the pipes are enclosed in the bumper hole - looks better, but still...

This could be my next car in about 18 months.

Btw, I think the 'F' logo looks ghey. My first mod would be to debadge that crap.
It's going to be a 2008 model, same as M3. It is anybody guess when either will hit the showroom though. I'll give it at least 6-8 months after launch for the initial demand to die down and all the bugs to get fixed. The big questions on this car are its tranny and weight problem. Got to wait and see...
[QUOTE=PsychoBen,Jan 8 2007, 09:50 AM] More like the new M3 that has more confort features, but gives up some in handling.
This is verbatim from the unveiling just an hour ago:
Must be balanced. Must be authentic. And, most importantly, Must haul a**.
And here it is, ladies and gentlemen, the all-new 2008 Lexus IS-F

Hey Ben, what do you think of the new EVO?

Funny you mention the Evo, Scott. Yesterday was a busy day in car industry news. I was following up news and pics on the IS-F, Evo X, Accord, so-called new NSX for better part of my office hours
I think the new Evo X styling is much better than the last. Still looks too F&F'ish, but at least there's continuity and flow in its design. The currrent design is a padestrian econo box fitted w/ big wing, ghetto taillight, and dozen front bumper holes to show high-performance.
The interior is much better too although I think the radio and AC controls are still really cheap. The trim above instrument gauges and center dash clock (fugly btw) are clear ripoffs from Porsche. The seats though are to die for. Just... Wow!! I saw a pic that shows the back of the front seats are CF, or at least CF-look plastic. The digital tech and speedometer are cool, but too small?
I am sure its driving performance will be great. I am going to try to get my younger bro into one, but so far he's not sold on it yet
