So after supercharging the S2000 I decided to retire it for winter use and picked up a second vehicle. Here it is, a 2006 Honda Element:












Had the day off today so I pulled the rear seats and started on my first project, a simple bike rack for the back:



Picked up two of these mounts, 10 dollars each + shipping:


They're mounted to 2x6's which are cut and snug in the back. Boards are unpainted for now, but bottoms are covered in rubber matting and sides that touch the car are coated with carpet. both can't be seen.







I still feel weird driving it, but it's 4WD and should do pretty well this winter.

 

Kenta, once you get those fenders painted the same color as the rest of the car, it will look great. Best of luck with it.
