You have the luxury of sending them home. When you lug them around EVERYWHERE you go with no reprieve, the van starts looking good.

I have had a few SUVs now, and I am more convinced than ever that they are useless. Not enough storage or seating space. It will be nice to have an extra three seats for when my wife wants to take her friend and her kids to the zoo or something and still have room for strollers and baby supplies.

Mini-vans got a bad rap from the old days of the caravan which was not quite a van, but not much more either. When I get my van, I will take you and Rick for a ride

You're right. I do get to send them home, and I can see where a van could be more spacious, and versatile, but I still feel bad for ya. I just like ya about driving a mini van.

Didn't we have dinner together recently where you proclaimed, "NO MINI VAN!" when Steph mentioned a mini van.

Exactly!!!

I was soooo dead set against it until we checked one out. It is just the perfect vehicle for a family in so many ways.,

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone without kids, but it does the job and they are a lot cooler than they used to be. It is the pimp car to have at playgrounds everywhere

Pimp car at playground eh?

BTW it's also a car for some of the crowd too. So hang on to it.

Rick's 66 almost 67 year old brother loves his. Plenty of room for all the pals heading to the shuffleboard tourney.

Actually, they like the extra room for golf clubs and golf buddies. He says he got decent mileage on the way to FL this February too.

It gives a great ride. Haven't you seen those Oddysey commercials where the slogan is "Respect the Van" and "The van is back"? They show all kinds of pimped out vans from the 70's.

Maybe part of the reason I like the van idea is that I always wished I grew up in the 70's so I could have had a van with a mural of a wizard on the side and a mattress in the back!
