Default Kudos to Apple

Ok so my Iphone battery started going south on me in the last 2 weeks my phone is 10 months old. It just did'nt seem to charge correctly. That along with a big old speck of dust under my screen was enough for me to make an appt with The Apple store today. So I walk in and when I am seen by the "genius" he ask whats going on and how can he help me. I proceed to tell him my issues he says ok lets run a diagnostic on it, after doing so and seeing that there were a couple of apps crashing and the battery is not reporting as it should he says no problem we will fix your issues. I say to myself great no hassle here. So Im expecting them to reach in the drawer and pull out a new digitizer and battery and change them. Well that did'nt happen but what did happen was after recording my imei and sim # he reaches into the drawer and pulls out a brand new Iphone! Takes my sim out of my old Iphone and transfers it into the brand new one and hands it to me and says here you go sorry you had an issue with your other one you have a nice day. Ok Im floored I thank him and go along my merry way. Thats excellent customer service!

Thanks APPLE!

Now the backside is you cannot save contacts to sim card with an Iphone but you upload them to a cloud which I did not have so Im missing a lot of #'s Sorry Steve I cant call ya no more

So if anyone want to pm me there phone number for future use feel free to do so. And always have a current sync it makes it so much easier to get back up and running.

Don't you wish you could have just gotten a new battery

And here I am cursing them out, because unlike last year, they will only ship the iPhone to the billing address of the credit card used. And they require a signature.

Fark that. I'm not retired, I'm not unemployed, and I'm not rich enough for my wife to stay at home.

Of course, I could have it sent to an Apple store, all of which are more than an hour drive away.

My brother broke he screen on his iPod touch and tried to replace it. The kid is a whiz with electronics... it was a huge pain and it wasn't working when he was done. Straight up replacement is the way to go. It's awesome that they just gave you a new one.

I broke the screen on my first 3G. Ordered a replacement screen and put it in myself. Everything worked fine except the home button quit on me.

Now I was worried that they wouldn't fix it because it was obvious I had opened it up and replaced the screen/digitizer.

Took it to the apple store, the genius looked at it with a microscope thing and said come back in 15 minutes. I was seriously prepared for them to tell me to pound tar because I tampered with it. To my surprise, the guy says "we can't fix it so here is a brand new one"!

I had bought the apple care plan so I don't know if that gave me any juice, but no complaints about their service from me!

Nope, having a brand new phone> new battery especially since I had synced it today!

The one downside is losing some contacts but i can deal with that.

I guess I'm confused... you don't sync your contacts?
