Year after Year we put together drives in a somewhat informal way. Lets begin some planning now for our drives this year. This will help some of the folks that only lurk once in a while or don't get to participate in drives because its always decided a couple of weeks before hand that its on.
RULES? GLEN? Anyway one rule I would like to propose is that when we select a date we would have the rain out date be two weeks out. That way everyone is on the same page and not whoring a thread to death
Here is a year calendar with my Wine and Mohawk drives. Note the dates I have already selected. FYI- Rain date is 2 weeks after the date. Also, I don't care for other big events from other regions examples DragonBall Run, Fall Colors Tour, Fresh Water Tour 2004, Outer Banks Run, Sac2KDays. SouthEastern Super Meet, etc... No one in NE really participates in those so I could care less when they happen.
UPDATED!
At this time it would be nice if the host would indicate time and date with the event name. This will help Glen input into the Nes2ko website and also put a sticky in our events and planning section.
For Example:
Event Name ____________
Date & Time ____________
In the events and planning section hosts can start up a thread describing the event at any time. This thread is only about proposed events and dates for the year. Please select your dates as there are only so many weekends available for these events. Note, Saturdays are the best event dates, some folks require their Sunday's to recouperate!
So, Let the events begin. <please no whoring> Except for Glen as he might want to add on to this.
FYI... I'm not the only person that can enter dates for events on the NES2KO.com website. Bass now has access to enter the events as well. Thanks to Bass!
I will also add... NES2KO has also been planning for a few years a large overnight event with many activities for two days... but this never got off the ground. If anyone is willing to help with the planning for this, I could use the help.
Hey guys....being that I have to work on Saturday's, I can propably spare one...its tough but somehow I will manage....any reason why Sunday's are out of the quesiton?.....I also realize that its important to meet you guys and get to know you better...but it would be nice if there was a nice drive as well.

Sundays are not totally out of the question. We have had Sunday events in the past.
Saturday's are just easier for most... but not for everyone. You're not the only one that have problems with Saturday events.
For some... Autocross events occur on most Sundays. So some may be attending those instead of an event. But... again... we have had Sunday events in the past, and I'm 100% we will have them again in the near future!

we should definitely revisit our neighborhood Hooters restaurant to make sure they have maintained the quality of their chicken wings
Ok Thomas, You hosting any Hooter days?
Event Name : Kickback @ Hooters Meet
Location ____________
Date & Time ____________
What dates and times are you interested? Its not that hard. Look into Giles Map thread - NES2KO Member Locations for central location for Nes2ko members. Maybe you can work with Victor (PortugueseS2K) in setting up a few meets.

Glen, I tell you what the GMT (Green Mountain Tour) Vermont drive was an excellent drive and would be a great opportunity for NES2KO to sponsor. I am sure Josh and Justin would agree

Tommy. As Glen stated, Sundays are not out, only that for long drives members are interested in participating in those on Saturday. Sundays are good meet days or short drives for local folks.
There is also a great event in Merrimack, NH on the June 25th. The Northeast Exotic Car Show. Last year I organized an NSX group for the event which raises money for the Make A Wish Foundation. We had about 30 NSX's and raised about $1000.00 for the cause.
I was a great show, great cars nice setting the Budweiser grounds in Merrimack.
