Saw a few s2k's at the race today. Managed to scrounge a pair of Rolex VIP tickets. Wow, got to pretend I was part of the 'other' half. I think the parking lot director was confused when I went into the vip lot. Parked next to a Ford GT and an M5.

Was a great day. I have a number of pics to post. Met a few S2000 owners, Marshall if you're reading this you've found the right place. A buddy of mine brought his mini and ended up getting to drive on the track. He managed to hit mid 90's before slowing down for the hard right turn (turn 1). Pics will be upcoming.

 

There were a ton of cars to see. Here's a few of my pics, nothing fancy just uploaded. I took over 100.

 

 

You must have been very close to me above the Esses. That same pole is in a lot of my pics. I haven't had time to look at them, though. I only saw one other S, an AP2 with a New York vintage couple who waved as I was aborting my departure when I realized I'd dropped my cell phone. (Some one brought it to loat and found and they called home before I got there.)
It was, indeed, a great day. A guy I know was announced on hte group 2 grid, but I never saw his red MG TC. He must have left for some reason.

 

I was sitting about 20ft to the left of that pole. It looks like you had more success with action shots than I did. I still managed few decent ones. I saw a couple of s2k's in the parking lot and was kicking myself for not bringing mine down.

 

I was there too. Without the S though. Weather was great and was fun as always.

 

I was going to head down but wound up cleaning up my house after all my friends decided to leave it a mess after Sunday night.....

 

That looks like a blast! We went to watch about 5 years ago but have not made time since... Thanks for the pictures; I'm going to try and put this on my calendar of events for 2008!

 

Yeah I was there too, met JSWhaler, and saw a couple of your S2000's there. I didnt get to drive mine down, but I did get to ride in the BMW parade lap in a 530i (will upload pictures soon).
