Default local detail shop?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a local detailing shop they would recommend. The S is 7 years old, just thought I'd get it detailed. The detailing comes with polishing, waxing and scratch removal right? Also, sample prices would be nice too. Thanks.

I don't know of any good shops, but for a complete swirl removal/waxing plus interior detail, I would budget over $200 if not close to $300 for a quality job. Alot of places will advertise a "complete exterior/interior detail" for like $150, but that does not include machine polishing. For a little bit more than the cost of one detail, you can get set up with just about every detail supply needed to do the job yourself, including a porter cable. then, you can do it for yourself and the next time you have saved money.

Just attend a wash and wax day next time one occurs in the district.

Can't say I really know any good detailers in the area. I've always been a DIY'er. So, I've never had to hire anyone.

There are a few guys who post over on Autopia.org from this area that are pretty good. There is one guy who is REALLY good. His name is Rick and he's the detailer at Bay State Motors (maybe Bay State Motorsports I can't remember) in Medford. Rick's cell number is 781-389-3913. There are a few other guys who are pretty good, but Rick is probably one of the better detailers I know of in the state.

So, my suggestion is to try to call Rick and if that fails then put up a thread on Autopia saying you're looking for a detailer. I'm sure you'll get multiple responses. Just make sure to do your homework on whoever responds because there are more BAD detailers out there than there are good ones.

Thanks for the info. I had just PM'd Bill again to see if he is going to host the wash and wax day. If that falls through, I'll probably give Rick and call and see what his prices are. I only want to have it detailed by a pro or learn from a pro initially since I've never done it before. My other Accord has always just been through your regular Autowashes.

I would like to attend a wash and wax day myself if we have one. I could use a few more coats of Zaino!
