Default Lowering springs

Alright, I respect most of the advice from people in NE more than the other schmucks on s2ki. That said, I bought a set of wheels and depending on how much heartburn I get from the wheel gap, I might lower via springs.

How is the ride quality effected?
I can't go much lower than ~1" or I won't be able to navigate my driveway.
Will it upset the beautiful stock handling? I like to push the car and don't want compromise just to reduce wheel gap.

Discuss folks!

there are quite a few good springs on the market that seem to fit what you are looking for

i personally would suggest swift if you are looking for a slight drop just to fill the wheel gap and not slam it. ive ridden on swifts as well and they handle and ride great.

i personally have h&r's on my car (they came with it when purchased) and they also give a good drop with great ride quality.

pretty much any well known company puts alot of r&d into their products so you shouldnt run into many problems.

For what you are looking for, the Eibachs are good too. ABout an 1" drop. Espelirs are probably too low a drop.

Yea I was thinking Pro-Kit. There's a set in the FS section now. Too bad they will probably be gone before I can get the Volks on the car to see how I feel.

I did the Espilirs with Cubby. 1.3" drop. It sounds like a lot but it isn't. It made the gap perfect on my 17"s and the ride/handling is the same for all intents and purposes IMO. I go up into some driveways/lots at an angle to prevent rubbing. At the very worst, I scrape the bottom of my OEM lip a small bit. It isn't noticeable unless you are under the car so I could care less.

Whatever you get, let them settle for a week after installing and get a good alignment. I had some minor rubbing issues that disappeared after aligning.

I've got a set of Tein S.Techs I'll sell you. 2k miles on them.

One of the guys in AZ had them on his S, looks good and he liked them on the track (he was one of the better drivers out there). Bout a 1" drop.

Let me know if you want them

I got a good deal on these Group AV 2pc with brand new tires. Not CE28s but not 3g's either They remind me of the GT-C and I've always had a soft spot for those, I'm a 5 spoke guy.
