Bottom looks overexposed. The top one was premature to me...he should have waited a few extra minutes for the full eclipse....but what the hell do I know....I;ve had a DSLR for 2 weeks.

 

At least they didn't take a picture of a tree!

 

I did that on purpose....I have a few without...just less interesting.

 

Cubs, excellent shot! Really neat that you were able to get both Saturn (on the left) and Regulus (on the right) as well. No, I didn't have that on the top of my head, there was something in the paper indicating what would be framing the moon. I pulled out the telescope and was able to see Saturn's rings. Well, sort of. The panet appeared as a bright withe circle about the size on an o on my monitor. There were matching extensions of light to either side. No colors but quite clear.

Anyway, here's a composite from about 9:00 to 10:00 pm.
