MA inspection question
i just a received a notice saying that i might be due for an inspection so i go out to check the date on the sticker...but there is no number..how can this be? it just says 2003 on it. anybody have any ideas? i wonder if this is the once every 2 years that i have heard about.
so what should i do? go get the car inspected again or hold out until the end of 2003?
thanks in advance

you need an inspection every year.... no number?? must be like mine.... as for waiting it's your call BUT do you really want to risk a ticket for an expired sticker?
when did you buy your car as that is the month you should have got your first sticker..

so you don't have a number on yours either?
I bought the car in march and i know i'm due for a new sticker...i guess i'm just curious as to why there isn't a number and if it had anything to do with talk that i had heard about inspections being done once every 2 years...

You need a new sticker every year, but they don't check emissions every year on new cars. If memory serves, I think the guy said they start checking emissions every year again after it's 4 years old.
Emissions are checked every other year, and it is done on the same even/odd year as your car, so if your car is an even year car, the emissions is only done on the even year, on the odd year, the safety inspection is still done, however, so you have to get the car inspected each year.
