Well yesterday my dad gave me a call telling me to meet up with him near Bradley airport. I met up with him at a nearby warehouse. It turns out it was a corvette meet to drive into Mark's carshow. So I went along. Mark's automotive holds a car show each Monday which started the season yesterday. As long as it doesn't rain over the weeked (due to grass fields) Monday till nightfall they hold a car show (free and trophies are awarded). We showed up around 6ish and left at 7:45. There were a few hundred cars present. Mostly American muscle cars, but very nice ones along with hotrods, Porsche, GT (pic below) and many more. There was a section for imports which had a few civics, accords, and a supra. I was thinking if anyone is interested we could meet up and drive over. It's a lot of fun especailly for a weekday. They also grill dogs and burgers, pizza etc. for food.
Hey Josh! I thought that was a Vintage only event?
Actually Ive been to that car-show YEARS ago. Back when i had a Mustang so that mustve been around 96-98 or so. Back then it was held in a parking lot of a shopping plaza in granby (or was ir E.Granby?) where my uncle has a Liquor store.
Guys at work posted this show-flyer every year. I always thought it was strictly American muscle pre 1980's cars. I wasnt aware Imports could show up also. I think the flyer at work says "HotRods and American Muscle" but im not sure. If its ok for imports to show up, i may head up one of these Mondays. I respect it if they dont want any imports. I know how some of those guys hate imports ! I once was one of them!
