Default Matte Paint On Cars?

So I've been looking into having my car painted another color in the near future. My fiancee was surfing the web and coincidentally bumped into pictures of matte paint jobs. She showed me and I thought they looked pretty cool.

Sadly I couldn't find any pictures of the S2000 in a matte color.

I was putting into consideration. I feel like exotic cars can pull it off. Not so sure about the S.

What do you guys think?

Found one. But I wish it were bigger, and at a different angle.

IMHO, it might look cool now, but I have a feeling it's going to look played out in a few more years.

Looks like primer. LOL

The blue looked interesting, but I'd never do it.

Matte cars were/ are still common in some racing venues. The idea was that when you wrecked a car's body panel, you'd pick up a new body panel and just spray it black (no multicolored cars). As a result most race cars were matte colored. As for now I think it's kinda cool, but in a few years it'll look outdated. If you want something for a long time, stay traditional with glossy colors.

I've noticed that a number of bicycles (high end) are now coming out in matte black.

Thats if you use primer to achive th elook which will also chalk and fade .

Matte and Satin Paint are much different. You can also use a wrap like we do. I have been thinking of wrapping the XB Satin Red and the M3 satin orange
