Thumbs up Meet Idea

Hey everyone im just seeing if anyone would have any interest in a BBQ meet Any suggestions for a month/date? I would be willing to rent out Curch Hill park in Newington CT. It has a huge parking lot, grills a big gazebo with picnic tables. It also has a softball feild basketball courts tenis courts bacci courts and a playscape. Ill will provide dogs and burgars and if other people could bring some items would could have a good lunch. I will be getting some other locals to come out and maybe some CT Subie guys will come join us. Maybe we could plan a drive after lunch to.
But for now this is just an idea but depending on how much intreset i could set it up. Thanks

Not sure if it matters, but last weekend in May is Memorial Day weekend. Some folks may not be around, or you might need to plan ahead for the park, if they need reservations?

Nice idea for a meet, unfortunately, we've already got "stuff" going on that weekend.

My best suggestion for anyone planning a meet, is to pick at day that works for you. Announce it and take it from there. For the most part, if you give people choices, they muck up the plans.

I would go with the sunday before memorial day... may should be warm enough for most ppl to go top down and it's a good time of year to have a bbq type thing I would pick the date and then start a new thread announcing the place time, and date and ppl will sign up and come... I would stick with may though because a few of us are going to the dragon in April.
