Sounds like most of my time in the Navy
I've been on a couple cruises (not counting aboard warships) and I love them. There is something for everyone from buffets, casino, night clubs, sports etc... Plus some folks just love being out to sea. It's very tranquil. The other benefit is you can see more than one port of call in a single trip. It's as busy or relaxing as you make it.
I look forward to being able to take another cruise with the wife one day.

I wish I was on it, free cruise and a free one to boot.
Ship reeks of vomit!
Thousands of passengers on a towed cruise ship will disembark in San Diego, California, Thursday with their own tales from a three-day ordeal that left them without air conditioning and hot showers. Their diet became Spam and Pop Tarts rather than steak and chocolate mousse.
And while Carnival Cruise Lines said Wednesday that most passengers knew that the Carnival Splendor's crew was doing the best it could, there were reports of passengers pledging not to take up the company's offer of a free replacement trip.

hmmm
get suck on a boat with 1200 not even close to being friends.
uhhm yeah I don't lines and crowds real well so I think I'll have to pass.
going on a cruise is second from the bottom right above going to vegas.
only exception,
Alaskan cruise. go see some glaciers. but not a big boat.

I guess if you could figure square footage per passenger.
I could be comfortable as long as that number is above 400 or so.

I don't think their current "free cruise" is the cruise they expected. No hot water, no AC, cold spam, water and pop tarts for dinner does not sound like fun.
I don't think I'd want to deal with what those folks have had to, just to get a free cruise. Ain't worth it.
