Whats the scoop on the CRX?
Whats the scoop on the CRX?Thomas (Steve, sorry for the Whoring), don't buy a hybrid for the sake of getting a hybrid....it will take you 10 years of driving to make back the additional cost.
I will get $2,100 tax "credit" though. Not too shabby!

Essentially, I am reducing the purchase price of the 2006 Civic hybrid by $2,100.
Yay!

Come on Mr. Accountant! A tax break is not a discount! Assuming a 20% average tax rate, your true "reduction to purchase price" would be about 420.00.
Hybrids add about $4000-8000 to the cost of the vehicle, not to mention the additional expense of battery replacement or disposal. Batteries are little self contained toxic waste dumps.
eeesh!
