Hello!

Will try to make the story short, my engine die so I am looking for a replacement, I was thinking in getting an Ap2 short block. The engine is reparable but not here in Spain, Honda does not want to do it, and local shop does not want to take the responsibility, I contacted some race shop too, but they charge to much or does not have time.

I got two choices

1 Buy the short block from Honda Spain
2 Buy the parts in US and get an Ap2 Short block


I prefer the second choice because a short block alone in Spain costs $4,200!!!!! if i have to add the gaskets, filters and other parts I would pass the $5,000 for sure, just the tensioner cam chain costs $440....

I have contacted a Honda Dealer, in Rod Island and I was really impressed with their prices, translated to euros are even more impressive!! As I supposed they can ship all the parts directly to me. the favor that I need is a US place where the dealer send all the parts and then I call UPS or similar to pick it up and ship it to me I will pay the dealer by wire transfer for the parts and shipping in US and then call ups to pick it up.

I you want reference I have a long list of member who can vouch from me.

Does anyone knows another solution?

LOL... If this was legit I would think a shop like Tom or Scott can broker this deal for a nominal fee.

 

I know it sounds sketchy BUT i've known Juan for many years and tried to help him out in the past with some other stuff

Plus he's been here almost 5 years - if he was new than yes sure it might be a scam however he

 

I'll do it for 3/4 of what Steve charges

I spoke with River, He told me that they do not ship oversize parts, they need to be picked up.


I am telling the dealer if I can call UPS to pick them up and ship it to Spain directly. for billing I told him that I will give him a US resident detail.

Juan is legit - I bought his engine brace last week.

I'll be in RI last week of October,

LOL - I just PM'd Juan that I would bring it back to London in my hand luggage. I've just seen what he ordered. I think the metal detectors will go mental - plus I'm not sure I could carry it.
