Default nes2ko.com Web Hosting ????

Hi Everyone!

Well, Vrm Vrm was nice enough to let us host the nes2ko website through him last year, but now it's up for renewal again, and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on where we should take our site to next... Vrm Vrm has it temporarily stored on his website right now, but I would like to take it off his site as soon as we can.

Thanks Chip!

Anyone have any great tips or contacts on where we can go?

Thanks!

Hey Glenn,
What kind of equipment does the site require, as regards its operation?

As of now, we're on a server giving us unlimited bandwidth, unlimited eMail addresses (forwarded) and 100MB storage, and .ASP hosting. The provider is readyhosting.com. Our site right now is super-tiny.

I can move it to my server, but we'll lose FTP access. (Haven't moved yet, Glenn)

How about TRIPOD?

There are Free accounts with popup ads or fee based for upgrades. They are pretty easy to manage.

Well in that case if you were to purchase premium space. There are many options. Depends on the sites functionality. Maybe do some research with Cnet.com to find out which they recommend for the functionality that would be required of the site.

Maybe you should start a thread on the requirements that nesko members would require from a web page then go out and find a right fit.

Paivag,

Is this the type of requirements you are asking about? This is what we had, and I'm looking to get something similar. Plus any suggestions and comments would be great.

Thanks

I don't believe services like Tripod will allow you to point your domain name (nes2ko.com) to their server. Besides, cost is not an issue, as I can host without cost. Again, the only limitation would be that nobody could FTP files up to my site, although I could put an HTML upload page up that would work just fine.
