Default Netflix on Wii

SWEET!!!! I don't know what the heck i've been waiting for all these years!!! I finally signed up and they sent me a disc to use on the Wii to stream movies/tv shows. I was really surprised how good the quaility is considering that I have the cheapest internet connection (3mb) and it's over a wireless-g wifi.

Very quick load time and once it's playing no skipping, no jittering, nada. It looked like was just another TV channel. The best part, Top Gear and Anthony Bourdain is available for streaming

I think we could do the same with Rick's PS3, however the PS3 is in the living room and that's not where we usually hang out to watch TV.

We don't watch a ton of movies. Watched one last night that had been hanging around for almost a month.

but you can watch TV episodes! Like Top Gear, True Blood, 24, Heroes, etc... well worth the $8.99 a month

Net Flix is worth the money. Convenient too.

Erick recorded some Top Gear episodes for us.........lots of them. We haven't watched them yet.

I currently use my PS3 for that. With xbox 360 you don't need a disc, but I don't remember if you need to be a paid xbox live member to do it. I stopped by BestBuy over the weekend and saw the new Samsung TV's can stream from Netflix directly without intermediate console.

For you Wii users out there, did you get the component (RGB) RCA cable for the Wii? I highly recommend it, it makes a noticeable difference if you have a decent television to watch on. Much better than the single cable composite video.

The Nintendo one is a bit pricey, but you can find 'em on Monoprice.com for cheap. I have a monoprice one, and it works great.

If you have a decent TV, or anything HD, definitely get the component cable if you don't already have it.

I have Netflix on my Xbox 360 and PS3. If you use them side by side the Xbox interface blows away the PS3. One added benefit too with the Xbox one is that you don't have to put the disc in every time. Haven't used the Wii version yet.

Totally agree that streaming NetFlix is worth it. I don't want much TV and when I do there's never anything on. Paying 8.99 for Netflix is so much better than paying for extended Cable (at least for me).
