Hello to the Northeast club. I just picked up my new 2002 S yesterday. Found this club on the s2ki site today. Are you looking for new members? Is there an initiation?

You're e-mails all read like your a nice friendly good natured group. Hope to see you on the roads. I'm in the brand new Suzuka Blue driving between Boston, Canton and other points south and west of the city. Please don't encourage me to exceed 5,800 for the next few weeks (days?).

Welcome Legal Bill!!!

you've found the best site on the net with regards to your new car. and you're right no Vtec until you hit at least 600 miles..

Please be sure to check your oil at EVERY fill up as these motors tend to use a lot of oil..

NES2KO is a great bunch of people with an incredible amount of knowledge about our cars.. you just missed last week's tech weekend it was great but with the weather getting a bit colder things are stating to wind down a bit..

we plan on doing a poker run in the spring with hopefully 30+ s2ks so that should be a blast

Thanks Bass, I'll follow the threads for new events. Is there any sort of application or dues for membership to the Northeast club?
Also, I plan to autocross my car this spring at SCCA events. Is the club active in autocrossing? Sorry to bug you with questions, you were the only reply this morning. No good deed goes unpunished!

Autocross? Hmmm, never heard of it. I'll let Glenn or Frances fill you in but you missed a good one at Fall Colors (so I'm told) Look HERE for details. Be sure to set your "from" window to "the beginning". That should keep you amused for awhile.

Welcome to the wonderful, wacky world of S200 Ownership.

Laster, Derrick and Miranda,

Thanks for the replies. I look forward to meeting all of you and chatting on the forums. I put about a hundred miles on today just cruising around between Boston and the south shore. I'm not sure why some owners complain about the bottom end torque. I've been shifting at 5,000 rpm and it still feels as fast or faster than many other sport cars. Happy Motoring!

I know, but they don't make enough for everybody and I don't want to hurt the feelings of a fellow owner.
