I just replaced my soft top as the same thing happened to me Has full warranty so if anything happens meaning if it rips or tears putting it up or down it's covered. The guy at the place i had it installed reccomended going with the 02+ top as it comes with glass window instead of plastic. He has done the conversion before said you do have to make some adjustments as the tops are different. Ive had my top for 3 weeks now and no probs that i can see or hear. Def reccomend them. Valley auto top in RI.

I replaced my top a year ago from robbins auto top and got it installed at a place in lawrence. it's a nice quality with a glass top with defroster. he did a nice install. and he was nice enough to let me know he scratched my center console and bought me a new one.

I retrofitted a glass robbins top on my 2000 s2k. Took a good ten hours. Nothing really tough, a few steps are a bit fiddly. I am really happy with the outcome, have some pictures but I'm not allowed to post em. If you PM me your email address I will send them to you.

Yikes! I paid $560 for the top, and a case of beer for installation.

I just had mine done 2 weeks ago. Mine is also a 2001. I got a canvas top with rear glass from Topsonline $617. shipped. The install was done by Belmont Seat Cover for $500 CASH. Great job no complaints top looks fantastic. Canvas is a great upgrade over the OEM top. Top comes with the necessary hardware for a glass window upgrade on a 00 or 01.

Hmm, I have heard that canvas is much harder to care for than the PVC in the long run because it absorbs moisture. Is your car a garage dweller or left outside?

If my top ever rips I am just going to take it out and get a hard top. I can't believe the prices they charge for these things + installation.
