i've always admired those cars that LOOK like a convertible BUT they are not

maybe i should get a hardtop and then make it look like a convertable

That has puzzled me as long as I can remember.

Where do these people go to get the canvas top put on their car, how much does it cost 'em, and WHY???

I realize some old Buicks and Caddys used to come like that, but I still see it done on newer cars. It seems to be a person thing.
