Great thread!

Steve, don't sell. If you do, just get a used one.

Last night I took off the Spugen and put back the stock system for a 4 day road trip. Sounds soo much quieter.

I need better speakers and some kind of rear speaker. Will the stock head unit in an '02 power rear speakers?

Steve, I'm sorry man, I just can't see you in a Buick! ...and how long do you think you'd actually be happy with an OEM stereo in a GM?! Though my Dad had a '93 Ultra for a number of years and that thing was beautiful... two tone black/grey supercharged 3800... road like the living room couch...

As for mods...

I'm tossing around the idea of getting a K&N FIPK off ebay for about $250 shipped. From the threads I see on here the install seems unintrusive and the numbers look OK (i.e. don't actually lose anything), and it sounds good for not being a CAI. Given all the snow I plowed in the side streets of Newport this winter I don't think I'd be confident with an AEM.

I'm also looking into some S-techs, maybe.

but they have to be speakers that do not require much power (just ask Rick and lainey) - they got a set and needed to install an amp
