Default NHIS Track Map

I am getting psych'ed up for some more track time and was trying to find a map of NHIS. Is this the map for NHIS's road coarse? It shows the track as 1.6 miles. I thought it was more like 3 plus miles?

http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks/NHIS....S.html#TrackMap

Has anyone here ever run at NHIS (New Hampshire International Speedway)?

Can't wait until Oct 3rd!

Yes, that is the map of NHIS. It's a 1.6 mile course.

I don't think there's a road course track in the US that is 3 plus miles.

Watkins Glen is 3.45 miles on the long course. It's only 2.45 when NASCAR runs it, though.

Francis,

how fast do you get on the 2 main straights (before turn 1 and between turns 2 and 3)?

It looks small for 30 NSXs and S2Ks running together, how does that work?

Assuming you are talking about the road course:
down the front straight just before braking for turn 1, you are likely to get to about 115-120 depending on how well you exit turn 12 before the straight.
you will likely exit turn 2 at about 90 mph and get to about 100 or so as you track out right next to the concrete wall and accelerate up to about 110-115 before braking as hard as you can for turn 3 down to about 35 mph.

Keep in mind that those are speeds for someone experienced at the track - as a first timer, you are likely to be running about 10-15mph under that.

The NSX's and S2000's are going to be split up by experience. I think most of the S2000's are going to be running in the novice group. I think each run group will have about 20 cars.

This discussion is great!

It all sounds so exciting! I can't wait !

100+ miles in a straight away..... no cops to pull you over.... hard braking to enter the next turn... WOW!!!!

This really makes me do this!!!----------------->>

90-100mph next to the concrete wall? I think I will definitely take it easy there.

Any idea on what kind of passing rules they might use?
