Well, this morning I went for a nice drive and then came home to wash her. Afterwards I felt real macho and decided to tackle my stereo problems. My stereo has been shorting out or at least when playing the headunit would go blank. I would still hear the music, but could not change anything. Well that's been solved, but I was still not able to get my ipod to run. I have the wires, but after an hour I gave up. Whenver there is another tech day I would appreciate some help on this. As for now the headunit is working how it should.
