Default Noise Dampening Project

This QuietCar thing is basically Dynamat(sp?) in liquid form, but overall cheaper, provides better coverage, and lighter.

I plan to give it a try in my MY05 (if and when I get it this summer). I enjoy the exhaust note from the car, so I probably won't do the trunk as the pic shows below. Instead, I'll use it on the whole floorboard of the cabin underneath the carpet, and the bottom of the under-tray that is below the conv. top when folded - two areas where most unwanted road noise and mechanical noise are transmitted

Pretty long read: Link

So... wha u think?

I am still going to check out the IS350 before I make up my mind. There are couple things going against it:
1. Rumor has it that the 3.5l model will not be offered w/ manual tranny. Have to wait and see on this one, but if it were true the IS350 is Out!
2. Would be nice to have a vert in Cali when I move there late this year.

Steve, it'll be RED, of course.

How about the QuietCar thing though? You guys want to do it?

Cool! Lets see how many are interested. Maybe we'll do a group buy... and possibly a group mod when the weather is warm enough.

I've been lurking for a while but recently signed on as a member. I'm definitely interested in this product. Removing the interior seems to be the way to go, but might be a major project. I'm deciding between that and going under the car and working on the bottom. I'll probably do the trunk too.

This product won't trap moisture and cause the body to rust over time, will it?
