Sorry Al, I disagree with some of your post. The rest is right on

Here are my changes

- Put the top down when YOU want. I didn't want to anymore so I got a hardtop. Don't let anyone call you a because you don't put the top down on a blistering 100 degree day.

- I have all season tires on my S. They are fine in all temps, rain/ice traction is outstanding and even snow up to a few inches should be no problem. They also have WAY more than enough traction for summer driving on the street unless you track the car. I took mine to the dragon and had no problems and hung with the "big boys" like Jim and Ben with their summer only tires. (Hanging with Glenn was another story )

- The mohawk is fun and a great place to meet other drivers and have a great time, but it is a bit tame driving wise for some people's likings. If you want to push the your limits, take a trip down to the dragon in April. It's a 16hr drive to get there, but WAY worth it.

Or come to Watkins Glen in late April Only 5-6 hours from western Mass. Should be 3 or 4 other S there for event.

I recommend good tires if you play at track... I had all seasons for event in October and was very disappointed at being passed by so many of those damn german cars.

The coolest car there (besides the 3 S2000s) was a brand new Aston Martin - looked just like an ALMS car!

There is a rumor I may get to try out some R rated tires in April. Of course they are 16" so I will have <NO> idea how fast I am going but as long as I pass a few Porsches I will call it a good day!

and welcome! Everyone has given you some great advice . . . except for that hardtop guy. WTF. If the S was meant to have a roof on it, there wouldn't be that switch on the console!
