Nor'Easter Info and FAQ
Folks, the Nor'Easter is still on!
Due to the current difficult economic conditions, we have scaled back the event to reduce the cost and encourage a larger turnout. For those that have already registered, there will be a portion of your registration that will be refunded to you shortly.
Here is the schedule:
FRIDAY
Check into the hotel. New England folks will be on hand to greet you, and give you your badge, magnet and T-Shirts.
We will have a Welcome Reception at the banquet hall next door to the hotel, including 4 different appetizers. Dinner is on your own, however, the hotel has a restaurant and lounge in the same banquet hall, which will be a great place to mingle.
We will also have a hospitality suite at the hotel. IN ADDITION... New England's Zzzippyyy will be hosting a Micro Beer Tasting Event.
This will be located in our second Hospitality Suite at the hotel. Dave (Zzzippyyy) will lead us through a variety of micro brews to please the discerning palette. There will also be a blind tasting to see if you actually like Bud better than the boutique beers. Participants may be asked to contribute a modest fee to cover the cost of the beer.
SATURDAY
Legal Bill's Cape Cod drive will depart in the AM. We will tour Woods Hole, visit Nobska Light for a photo opportunity, view the Elizabeth Islands, take some twisty roads along the coast, visit Hyannisport (on a clear day, you can see the Kennedy Compound), tour the Toad Hall car museum to see the world's largest collection of red sports cars, and then enjoy a cook-out lunch stop at Legal Bill's. If time permits, we will visit the Cape Cod Winery.
Lainey & Rick's country ride Final route in the works. We may depart earlier than originally planned to include a lunch stop at a local drive in as well as other stops...to be determined as people let us know what they want. There will likely be a wine stop and possibly a brewery stop on this ride as well. There may be a second shorter route with winery and ice cream stops. This ride would be led by Chazmo. The country ride(s) and Bill's Cape Cod Ride will be back at the hotel with plenty of time to clean up for dinner.
Saturday - Banquet and awards from sponsors
SUNDAY
Tour to Battleship Cove with New England's Jeff/sireousrex, a former member of the US Navy.
If folks are interested, there may still be a group heading to the F1 track. This will be an extra cost item. Please see below.
Also, if enough folks are interested, there may also be a Sunday drive.....to be determined.

FAQ
1. Q. What is not included in the registration fee
A. Hotel, karting, track day and meals other than the banquet are not included.
2. Q. Do I have to stay at the hotel?
A. No, but it is a lot more fun and safer to be able to stay the night where we are having this great party.
3. What is this meet about?
A. The Nor'Easter is a social event that the New England community throws for the entire S2Ki community. It is a chance to meet not only a whole bunch of New England folks, but also owners from other parts of the country. We try to have something that will appeal to everyone. Reception, Banquet, Drives, awesome raffel prizes and special events.
4. Who organizes the event?
A. NES2KO (New England S2000 Owners) is the local S2000 owners club that grew up out of this web site. We collect dues and use the money to finance meets and other special benefits for the membership. Members of the club organize the event and the club finances the up-front costs, which are recovered from the registration fee.
5. Who from NES2KO does this?
A. Many people. Mostly Glenn, Lainey, Jeff (Cubs), Jim (PAS2Knut), Ellen, and George (Paivag). Other volunteers are Chazmo, Rick, and me.
6. Is the track day part of the Nor'Easter?
A. No. The track day is a seperate event organized by SCDA. We are just signing up for the event and going together.
7. Does the club make money on the event?
A. We try not to. We calculate the costs as close as we can to the actually expected costs. If we have any extra money, it is because the organizers contributed money that was not repaid, or goods that we expected to pay for. We put any overage towards the cost of next Nor'Easter.
8. Can I just go on the drives and not pay the registration fee?
A. We are not offering a menu approach at this time.
