I think the OP's question is fine. In this case the seller being complained of is not a New England member and the OP may not have any idea if the New England CO is the right person to talk to. But once the CO or someone else steps up to help, then it should be taken off line.

ok Bill i guess we see it differently -

we do not know where the seller resides as it's not mentioned - however scott does know and has offered to intervene (call / "I go Twiztid on his ass" ) which is great however the rules states

"S2KI has a place to post BAD Transactions to let the people know of your experience , NE is NOT that place "

it just comes across that if Scott is doing the work then it's ok to bend / brake the rules - (the OP is having scott do the install)

but if you have a problem and are not using scott to do the work you're SOL and your posts will be deleted - (just like we've seen before)

Wait a minute -

this is NO PLACE for discussions of bad sales - KEEP IT IN PM per the rules!

what about those other poor folks who's posts got deleted

"10. Buyers , if you have a problem with a transaction with a NEW ENGLAND Member please handle it in private , either via PMing the member , CO or Mod of NE . You are welcome to copy us on PM conversations for record and we will try to help , but we are not the BAD Transaction police . We will do what we can . S2KI has a place to post BAD Transactions to let the people know of your experience , NE is NOT that place "

what's the sence of your rules if you don't follow them..
He did not ask anyone for help dealing with the person involved .. nor did he buy from a New England member .. dont you have something better to do Steve like work ?? Me I am waiting on the parts for Dereck's car ... read the rule again and tell me how it pertains to Dereck ??

Maybe I need to make a rule about people always pointing out the rules .. F'n childish ..

He is a New NE member asking for advice from fellow NE people ... Because he is my customer I am stepping in to help as I offered anyone that has a problem with anyone on the forum .. This is the same gentleman that offered us his restaurant for the meet on the 25th

Read the rule again ..... stop twisting things Steve ...

Oh I forgot it is Steve's job to point out everyone's flaws and errors while ignoring his own

Maybe if you payed attention you would have remembered you posted the reviews of his restaurant . But you are to wrapped up in everyone else's job you forget about yourself .....

File the paypal claim ASAP. If you wait till after 30 days you will be shit out of luck.

You first file a dispute, give them a chance to contact the seller and then you can escalate it to a full claim, but it has to be done within the 30 days.

I have a ton of faith in Paypal. I have filed disputes and claims several times and always gotten my money back.

Scott i wouldn't care if it's Bill or Lainey's post,

follow the rules that you set up

every other post saying someone didn't send the parts or "do you know XXX" get's deleted by you..

you should handle it though PM just like your rules state

BUT it appears that since you are doing the work - you'll let the post stand again you've stated your point - BUT it should be handled though PM

OH AND SCOTT I DID NOT POINT OUT YOUR FLAWS OR MINE FOR THAT MATTER - BUT RATHER YOUR RULES..
