Default Nuvi update?

FYI, I just updated our Garmin 350 with the 2008 maps. Last night on my way to NH, the screen switched over to the one I get when I update the unit. It shows a pic of a PC and the Garmin attached by the USB cable. WTH???

Happened twice.

Turns out, I should be plugging the car charger into the back of the windshield mount, vs, the side of the GPS unit. Who knew? I didn't even know there was a port on the back of the mount, and it wasn't an issue until the update.

Just in case anyone runs into the same issue, you know what to do.

Old people and electronics just don't mix.

Wow! You have a fancy mount! Mine is just a hunk of plastic with a rubber circle that sticks on the w/s.

And my unit is dummy proof, there is only one whole in the unit that the charger fits into

That's great info for those with a Garmin.

But only if you intend to drive it to the store to buy booze while intoxicated
