I think Lainey's idea sounds good, especially at this late hour. A brew pub also sounds good with the caveat of ample parking for our precious little babies.
Pete! We've been to Manchvegas a few times lately, (keeping Scott busy
) but haven't seen a Silver "S" on the road. You hiding out in a Miata again?
Hope to see you in VT!

Thanks for the thoughts guys - just some brief info on my situation. It basically boils down to a few things. Work (takes time), School (takes more time), Home repairs (time time time and money money money), Car problems (I won't elaborate, but needless to say I doubt I >COULD< do the GMT if I tried and the home repairs are eating up the capital to fix this problem).

Sounds like the GMT is still on for anyone who wishes to attend... glad to hear it, and I'll be missing you guys that weekend (anyone staying in the Springfield area that Friday and wants to say hello, I'll be happy to meet you for dinner or something).
I don't think we'll be up in your area too early on the Friday, but an offer to buy you a drink still stands, and I hope we can meet up with Josh for dinner in Waterbury.
We'll head out on Saturday, following your route. Folks can hop in or out along the way as they wish. We don't care who takes the lead. If people want to move a little faster than we plan to, they can go on ahead, we may look at some of the scenery this time. Last time for some reason it was a blur.

Love to meet up with you guys for dinner, just let me know when and where. I'll be bringing my motorcycle and maybe my "new" girlfriend will come too. I'm very happy to see the spirit of the GMT still lives on even with the absense of it's creators. My cell is 802-793-9228. Hope to see you soon!

Josh! One of the posters mentioned a brew pub in Waterbury. Have you ever been there? That sounds neat if they can accomodate us and the vehicles. I don't think we'll end up with too many cars though.
Would be good to see you and your date.
We'll keep in touch. I'll put your phone number in my cell phone. Our number is 508 264-0754.

Yup, been running on the dark side with the Miata. Now it's time to rip a few curves with the S. When you finally decide where and what time the GMT will start, please post up. Right now I'm 99% certain it's a go for me although it will only be for Saturday.
Let's hope Justin can find a way to come out and play too. Gald to know we'll be seeing Josh as well.

Here are some links to various places in Vermont that we will be able to check out on the ride:
Town of Woodstock - "quaint" tourist-trap (but very pretty). http://www.woodstockvt.com/
Waterbury - A nice place (and there's a Ben & Jerry's factory!) http://summer.stowe.com/
The alpine slide (might be a refreshing break on Sunday) http://www.bromley.com/
Route/Timeline
Saturday July 9th
We will start on Saturday, July 10th in Springfield, VT (we moved the starting location further North due to the length of Saturday's drive - figured people could cruise up I-91 faster alone than together).
[B]For those who are interested in coming up Friday July 9th and staying overnight , there is a Holiday Inn Express across the street from our meeting place.
