Ok so now that Honda says it will not be making a replacement and the concensus is 2009 is the last year of the S2K what now?

Will you hold onto yours
Will you buy a newer one and hold it for future value
Will you buy an older one and hold it for older value
You could care less?

What the thoughts? Discuss

I think Honda will put out another sports car and it will be a cross between the NSX and the S the question is will it be 5 years or more?

Myself my car has always been planned to be held for a long time I just the car.

I am hoping the resale value doesn't fall flat so when I finally pull the trigger and decide to trade it in for something newer, I won't get raped.

I was dead set on an STi, but now looking at that new Z, I have to wonder. Although the Z won't be any more practical than the S and I would still not be able to take the boys out for a ride or to a meet which is what I want.

I had always hoped the S would have only a 5 year run, well it made it to 10.

Although the last 3 years they have barely sold any at all.

I think they would have sold a lot more if they would have made a lot more updates to it like other cars get. better interior offerings and newer technology.

I don't think it faltered because of the way it looks on the outside. I still love to stare at my S. The problem is they should have offered a newer styled dash setup and some optional gadgetry so that those who want the sparten race pure BS could have that, but someone could also order it outfitted to look like the cockpit of an F-18.

I retractible hard top like the G6 and Miata would have been a nice touch too.

But I also think Honda always had an idea to keep it a pure as possible sports car thus they left it alone.
