Old School
Hey, some of you are familiar names as back in 2009-2010, I joined some of the New England and up state drives...with people like Paiva in the wine drives and A2 all the all up to Watkins Glen. Still have a s2000.
My S2k never made it out of storage this year. First time in 16 yrs of ownership that I won't drive it during the year. Also, first post here in many, many years. Like many others, family and other cars have relegated the S to garage queen.
I just moved here not a year ago... my S hasn't been legal since last October.... but i fell in love with the S long before it was ever designed.. back in 1970-73 we lived on Okinawa and guys in my school had S600's and S800's..... I had a MG1100.... who knew front wheel drive was going to be the wave yet to come... anyway.... I look out on my driveway now, today.. wonder if I'll ever drive that car again... but I'm not sad... maybe too stupid.. however it goes... this S and I have driven some of the best roads, the blue ridge parkway, tail of the dragon and several others fun jaunts on the east coast, everything along I-10 to Houston and up to Atchison Kansas and across back along I-70 til you bend down towards Florida.. 217,000 so far... we're both beaten and bruised.. but its.. Top Down... only way....
Hello All, Id sold my 02 AP1 in 2013. Id had plans to repurchase another S in the future, so Id kept the hardtop. Its now 2022, and I'd just sold the hardtop. LOL. I still have plans to buy another roadster, It just might not be an S.
Man, Im so sorry about the hardtop. The thing was we were cleaning out the garage and while you were going to pick up the top in several days. Someone wanted to drop by that day to pick it up. Thank you for understanding.
These pictures make me smile. It was like we just picked up where we left off....yet so many years have passed.
You all are still the most fun people we have ever met. We may be old school, (and the oldest ones in attendance), however any time spent with you keeps us young.
to Cubby/Jeff and Erin for making this happen.
