Default One minute video of my S

been working on a motorized DSLR slider as a personal engineering project. The first prototype is pretty much done. Some shots are just a little shaky due to I didnt have a tripod, I was holding it the entire time (or someone else was). Taken with my gopro, and there was definitely not enough light in my tiny garage.

let me know what you think, hope you like it!

Pretty nice! Pic of the slider? I think the lighting added to the video.

I have a thought for a video but I am far from a film guy to figure out how to actually do it. Looking forward to seeing more of yours!

Do you have hood dampeners? How much were they? I'm looking for a cheap set.

Nice vid. I really like the interior shot across the instrument panel where it switches on to the music.

Also interested in the slider too, just to understand how the shots were done.

I just youtubed sliders, they all seem to move left and right. How exactly did you get it to go up and down? I am intrigued!

Yep, they're NRG, theres a seller on ebay that has them for $130 with shipping, I offered $120 and they accepted.

Here's a few pics of the slider

This is the Driven end/control end of the slider. The "Main Block" (ivory color) was 3d printed. It supports a standard size servo (hitec HS645MG hi torque servo) with an adapter shaft. A small pulley is mounted on the shaft, and the bearing block holds the whole thing to the rail and supports the bottom of the servo shaft with a bearing. The black box houses a battery box (4 AAA's) a on/off switch, a potentiometer (for adjusting speed/neutral) and a servo driver.

Here are some pics of the other end

and the overall. Here you can see how it could be stood on end to take vertical shots, or straight to do slow zooming in/out shots

I'll be meeting with some guys from work to discuss whether this may be a good project to take on to manufacture and market.

Add some tripod leg for horizontal and vertical movement and it should be all set.
