I guess he owns Applebees and PacSun, and just stops by to "see how things are going" briefly. Because I don't remember having time to work enough hours a week to afford even the insurance on a car like that WHILE I WAS IN HS.

I read through that whole thread and it's pure comic gold. There's even a Star Wars style prelude here where "the turbo spooled up at 12 mph" and he jacked up an SUV in a parking lot. It's friggin' hilarious.

This kid is my hero for providing me with some comic relief while at work. Geez.

yeah... there's even another thread where he crashed yet again (though it seemed to be less his fault). There's Steve's bad luck and there's this idiot who shouldn't be on the road.

The 02 WRX is not throttle by wire. The STI is, and I think my WRX *MIGHT* be the first year for it... I'll check later.
STi uses throttle cable as well.

What an ass to be driving like that in a residential area. His car looks pretty lame too with VW turbo emblem. Has he ever heard of a clutch? If the throttle keeps increasing, f***ing put it in neutral!

I don't believe his high school bs story. He was driving like a total malaka, and now these people have to live with house totally damaged!!!

wow.. that sucks..
that kid IMO isnt being at all considerate of what happened...
its like he was proud of crashing the car into the garage.. he said something like:
Heres a pic of the garage after a little remodeling, and the little girl has to stay in a hotel for a week or so until the house is fixed...
Not even considering the fact that he could have killed himself or another person..

My mistake on the STi throttle... Here's Subaru's description of the STi engine:

Sequential multi-port fuel injection. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). Engine management with integrated self-diagnostics and adaptive driving habits capability. Direct ignition.
