Default Parking question

I'm going to be coming to Boston in a couple of weeks, actually Somerville. My wife and I would like to drive the S2K out from upstate New York. My question is, is it safe to park the S2K on the street there at night? If not, where could I park it?

Somerville is much better than it used to be, but it still has some places where the car would be at risk. I am no longer current on the good/bad spots. If it were me, I would not park it on the street overnight for any number of consecutive nights.

It really depends on what part in Sommerville. Some residential area is fine, but most area it's either unsafe and/or difficult to find parking w/o local parking permit. If you can give me street # and name, I can look it up for you.

BTW I live in somerville and although my old crx has been stolen twice for the rims (i finally gave up) my S has been ok since i got it last june (note CRX's are way to easy to steal). sometimes its in the street accross from the house but usually it's in the short driveway. you might run into a problem if you try to park it even remotely close to the t stations (sullivan is a bit of a hole and davis is a bitch to find non permit area's) there are a bunch of residentails off broadway that might not be so bad but I agree w Ben and Bill it will be very dependent on location and I wouldn't leave it for multiple days.

Thanks guys, maybe I'll just drive my wife's Accord instead. That way I can come out and have a good time and not worry about the car.

Good idea! Specially since I-90 is not in the greatest of conditions these days. I drove from Springfield to Albany NY last weekend and I was so glad we took the Accord - there were some really horrible patches of road and lots of construction going on. The eastern portions of I-90 also have some construction going on but it's not as bad as the western areas.
